"Review of the Ricoh RI1000 Printer"
Before diving into the negatives, I gotta give a shoutout to Maron and David T. They’ve been super helpful throughout this whole ordeal; honestly, I’d be totally lost without their support. Big thanks to them! But here’s the deal…

This printer has really set my business back more than any pandemic could ever do. Over the past three years, we’ve gone through three different Ricoh RI 1000 machines. I’ve spent countless hours on hold just waiting for tech support to pick up, and I’ve had to deal with days of hands-on repairs, which I don’t even feel qualified to do myself. Yet, I’ve had no choice since they won’t send a trained technician. I often warn folks about this machine out of pure kindness. No one should have to face the kind of neglect and planned obsolescence that I’ve experienced since we bought this Ricoh printer.

The month our warranty ran out was also when our digital control screen just stopped working out of the blue. I ended up shelling out $800 for a new control screen. That’s $800 straight from my pocket. Plus, I’ve got $500 worth of ink just sitting there, waiting for this machine to get back in action.

I’ve gone through several print heads, all of which ended up clogged and were deemed unfixable by tech support. We’ve swapped out maintenance stations, encoder strips, ink lines, and SD cards. The problems just keep piling up. It feels like I’m always trying to catch up with this thing. The only reason I keep pushing through is that if I don’t, we’re left with a “$10,000 paperweight,” and those aren’t even my words; that’s what a guy named Danny from tech support said.

LUKE stands out as the finest CSR / TECH / LEAD / MNGR / and worker at RICOH. He doesn’t worry about the clock; his sole aim is to reach success and ensure that the caller (client) gets it and keeps practicing until they nail it.

"What a fantastic experience!"
I had a truly fantastic experience, and I picked up a lot from Luke. He patiently walked me through each step needed to get my gear up and running. His professionalism and upbeat, helpful vibe made the whole process smooth. Ricoh could really use more techs like him. I'd rate him a solid 10 out of 5 stars.

Luke reached out for my details, but I was a bit impatient and decided to give him a call. Even though he had a lot on his plate, he managed to fit me in. He was really patient and walked me through each step, plus he shared some useful tips about drying time.

"LUCKY LUKE to the Rescue!"
LUCKY LUKE!!! Luke was super helpful in sorting out our issues. He really went the extra mile to ensure we had the most recent software updates and that everything was fixed. A few hours later, we got a follow-up call from LUCKY LUKE to check in and see if all was still good. He even made sure to call each of us by our names (there were four of us). Plus, he mentioned he was ready to help us with other tools to enhance our Lil Rickie (Ricoh ri -1000).
